Logitech K830 Illuminated Living Room Wireless Keyboard

First, let me clear up something – if this is touted as a Bluetooth keyboard, it is NOT Bluetooth in the traditional sense. It requires a “sense” connection which requires you to plug a small receiving into a USB port. You will NOT be able to set this up using regular Bluetooth – it will take up a USB slot in all instances.
That said, this keyboard is GREAT. I needed something for my Mac mini (on which I am running Ubuntu, so yes, it even works with Linux) to use in the living room that was wireless and easy for my family to use. This fits the bill beautifully. I’ve had it now for at least a month, and it’s still running on the original charge from when it came out of the box – I have literally not had to charge it yet. The backlight is really useful at night (and can be turned off if you’d prefer to save even more battery power) and while the trackpad is a tad on the small side, it’s still really responsive and very useful. The buttons all worked automatically and correctly (yes, even with Linux!) and the left-click on the upper left of the keyboard is surprisingly useful as well. I had my doubts after reading some of the other reviews, but so far for my family, this has just worked, and I’m very glad I purchased it.
(Incidentally, for this post, I am trying the Google Docs for WordPress connector. We’ll see how it works!)
