The statistics that TripIt.com knows about.

I’ve only been using +TripIt since 2008, but these stats are really interesting.

First, I’ve traveled an entire year of my life. That’s 1 of 41. Sure, a small percentage, but still an interesting thing. I’ve already spent more than 10% of this year traveling, and still have at least three upcoming trips (Birmingham, Las Vegas, and Dallas).

Second, more than 500k kilometres that they know about – and they don’t know about all my trips (any before 2008 for instance) or any I’ve taken by car, and so it’s fair to say that were we to include those trips, and car travel, I’ve probably traveled more than 1 million kilometres. That’s to the moon and back, and then back to the moon.

I’ve actually been to 27 countries (and 37 US states) and at least 50 cities.

I keep a spreadsheet on Google Drive with an up-to-date list.
