Waking up on a regular schedule is difficult for me, unless it’s from 3am until 11am. I don’t know why I am this way, but that’s always been the best way to schedule things. I had a summer job that allowed me to sleep that schedule, and it was the least tired I’ve ever been.
I’m not to the point where I can design my schedule. The company that employs me is a global one, so there are often meetings at odd hours which certainly doesn’t help. One part of my nascent biohacking is going to be to try to sleep on fewer hours per night (6 would be ideal) as now I seem to need 8 or 9. I’d also like to try different sleep schedules – say four at night and two in the afternoon, but business being the way it is doesn’t allow for that. Travel makes it worse!
Are any of you out there night owls? If so, do you have any tips or tricks on how to make it as a night owl in an early bird’s world?
