Picture from fotki.com. I’m sitting not far from where the gent in the picture is sitting.
While I have any number of improvements that I can suggest to people (and as @british_airways knows, I’m not shy about telling them), overall I do like the service that I get on British Airways. I’m sitting in the Terrace Lounge at SFO now, and I must say that it’s really nice in here. I’ve had my fill of finger sandwiches, cheese, cookies, and wine, and we’re just waiting to board the plane. I was given priority through security, my first time for that, and it made the experience shorter, though no less unpleasant.
I’ve got an eleven hour flight ahead of me (hence the wine, I’m hoping to sleep for most of it)and should arrive back in London tomorrow morning at 1035GMT. I’ll have to work tomorrow, so I’ve been doing my best to revert timezones for the last two days. Since I’ve been over-sleeping, I”m not sure it will have worked, but at least I’ll be in my usual timezone. Though as I have a trip back to the US in another 13 days, it’ll be a rough month.
At the training I did, I met people who traveled more than half a million miles last year, so while I thought that my 125,000 was impressive there’s always someone who has done more. I might get close to what I did last year just in May from what it looks like – I’ve got Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, possibly Shanghai, and possibly Tokyo lined up, as well as a possible trip to Israel. It seems that as much as I #lovelondon, I won’t be spending as much time there as I might like!
