So I turned 35 yesterday. That means that I officially only have 5 years until I hope to retire! Whether I can do that or not remains to be seen, but I'm going to try. (I'll have to write a post on my "Five Year Plan" – the irony of that from my libertarian perspective is not lost, either. 😉 )
So do people remember those Bank of America commercials where they were talking about creating ATMs that could scan checks and count cash? The one near me does that now! It's really awesome… no envelopes, no typing in information about the deposit – just select what kind of deposit (checks vs. cash), drop the item(s) in the appropriate slot, and it either scans the check or counts the cash. It then displays the information it calculated (it has been 100% accurate in two trials so far). You can then either create another deposit or get your card back! Very cool.
I also got myself a pair of Motorola S305 Bluetooth headphones. I'm using them with my Droid. (My iPods will now be very lonely!) To be free of wires while listening to music is awesome! I can throw my messenger bag over my shoulder without having to first take off my headphones, which is great. The sound quality is amazing (even up to twenty feet away and through a door) and they can be used to receive phone calls as well.
I'm hopefully going to update this blog a little more… I've been slacking on my New Year's resolution checks (though not the items themselves, except the gym) but I'm hoping to start those again as well.
